Texas Discovery Gardens

What would our dear planet be without its lush vegetation which sustains all life? This is the question Texas Discovery Gardens is hoping to answer through educational programs which have the purpose of helping children and adults alike understand, restore, conserve and preserve the world around us.

Situated in the heart of Dallas, in the historic Fair Park, this Texan landscape covers an area of 7.5 acres, and it harbors native plants as well as adapted species along with hundreds of free-flying tropical butterflies.

Located in Dallas' historic Fair Park, Texas Discovery Gardens is a certified organic and fully sustainable public garden. It offers a large array of gardening workshops and guided tours provided by experts in the field, as well as admission to the exquisite Rosine Smith Sammons Butterfly House and Insectarium for birthday parties and to the Grand Hall for wedding receptions or other parties.

It doesn't matter whether you are passionate about butterflies, or would like to admire a native wildlife pond, or if you would like to immerse yourself in the scent garden or shade garden or heirloom garden. Maybe delight yourself in Shakespeare Garden, or take a stroll through Grand Allee du Meadows, here is the place where anyone can learn and be amazed.

The Texas Discovery Gardens are open 7 days a week, 10 am - 5 pm and it is free for children under 3.
